Earthquake of magnitude 3.6 hits Today more details below


 A low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 3.6 has jolted near the city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, according to the authorities.

In the wee hours of Sunday, April 3, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred 85 km Northeast of Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati, said National Center for Seismology today in an official statement.

The organization announced the earthquake via a tweet on its official social media handle. The tremors were felt near Andhra’s Tirupati in the early hours of the day, around 1:10 am in the morning on Sunday.

Announcing the same, the National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 03-04-2022, 01:10:29 IST, Lat: 14.24 & Long: 79.90, Depth: 20 Km, Location: 85km NE of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.”

According to the NCS, the earthquake felt near Tirupati was of considerably low intensity and has most likely not caused any damage. Till now, no damage to property or loss of life has been reported due to the earthquake in Andhra Pradesh.
