Gunfight breaks out in South Kashmir

May 26, :An encounter broke between security forces and militants in Aganhanzipora area of South Kashmir's Awantipora on Thursday, police said.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, "#Encounter has started at Aganhanzipora area of Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.

@JmuKmrPolice."

 Earlier in the day, Three  LeT militants and one Army Porter was killed in an encounter in Jumagund area of North Kashmir's Kupwara district.

The exchange of fire is going on and further details are awaited.
