Police arrests 3 persons out of 5 accused involved in Stone pelting on eve of Eid

Anantnag, May 12: Anantnag Police has identified the persons involved in stone pelting incident in Janglat Mandi area on eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. 

Police has arrested 3 persons including 2 minors wanted in the FIR related to case. The two minors namely Sahil Tariq Shah S/O  Tariq Ahmed R/O Sherpora and Moin Majeed S/O Abdul Majeed Sheikh R/O Hazratbal Anantnag have been sent to Juvenile home of Srinagar. 

While as one accused namely Zahid Ahmed Guroo S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Danter Anantnag is on police remand. 

The other two accused Fazil Khursheed S/O Khursheed Bhat R/O Dabruna and Majid Ahmed Pushoo S/O Ashiq Hussain R/O Deva Colony are yet to be arrested. 

Police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused youth.

Pertinently a stone pelting incident on security forces had happened on Eid and to facilitate the prayers and keeping in view the safety of common people Police had not retaliated that time. 

But Police had already registered a case under FIR no.135/PS Ang. in this regard.
