Rajouri, Aug 11 (KNO): Two fidayeen were killed while five soldiers’ sustained injuries in a suicide attack bid at Pargal area of Rajouri district, defence officials said Thursday.
Defence officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that two militants while trying to sneak into a post in the dark at Pargal, Rajouri were detected and engaged by alert troops.
“The militants have been neutralized while five soldiers also suffered injuries and are being treated,” they said.
Defence officials said that in a militant attack 25 kms from Rajouri, two militants carried out a suicide attack on an army company operating base,” they said.
ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that someone tried to cross the fence of the army camp at Pargal in Darhal area of Rajouri. “Exchange of fire took place. Additional parties dispatched to the area 6 km from Darhal. Two militants have been killed,” he said. The officials said that the operation is in progress—(KNO)
